Happy Tuesday once again! We all hope November has been off to a good start for each of you. This week, we have a few short but very exciting things to share!
Lucky Day Collection is LIVE!
Last week, the WSDLC saw the addition of the Lucky Day collection! This collection is made up of copies of popular titles that are non-holdable and non-renewable. Lucky Day copies are available on a first come, first served basis, providing instant access and allowing students to “skip the line” for top titles.
You can view the collection through this [shareable!] link: https://soraapp.com/library/wsdlcwi/curated-1268810/page-1

The WLA Annual Conference is Next Week (November 16 – November 19th)
WLA’s annual conference is being held in Green Bay, WI this year, and is taking place next week! Online registration for the event opens on that Tuesday (November 16th).
If you’re planning to be there, please stop by the WiLS booth and say hello! WSDLC Project Manager Sara Gold will be at the conference, and would love to chat with you! You can find her, and other WiLS staff, at booth number 410. And just to make things a little extra enticing, the WiLS booth will have treats (remember Whistle Pops?) and a scavenger hunt for a chance to win a sweet pair of Beats wireless headphones. While you’re there, stop by the booth next door and learn what’s new with Recollection Wisconsin!

Flipped Classrooms: Advantage Accounts & Marketplace
November is Advantage Accounts & Marketplace month for the WSDLC’s Flipped Classroom training series! This flipped classroom introduces the Advantage program, and shows users how they can use Marketplace to make the most of their Advantage accounts.
During Flipped Classroom months, materials on various topics are available for members to review, and OverDrive staff is ready to schedule one-on-one 20-minute sessions to answer your questions.
If you have any questions or comments on the flipped classroom content, please let us know; we’d love to hear what you’re thinking!

New Titles Added Last Month
A total of 246 previously-unavailable titles were added to WSDLC collections through purchases and OverDrive’s own Sora Starter Collection additions last month!
You can find a complete listing of all titles that are available through the WSDLC collections on the Collection Information page of the WSDLC website.

Send Us Your Tiny Case Study Ideas!
WSDLC’s Tiny Case Studies are brief, practical summaries of outstanding things that some WSDLC members are doing that involve Sora and serve as an opportunity for members to share a WSDLC-related problem they had and how they solved it. We highlight these Tiny Case Studies during various Flipped Classroom months, but you can also view them all by clicking the following link or copy/pasting it into your browser: https://wsdlc.org/training/tiny-case-studies/.
If you’ve done something lately that you’d like to share with the WSDLC Community, let us know! Maybe you’ve put together some creative marketing, started a student reading bookclub, cleared a hurdle with getting students to team up for 2022’s Battle of the Books, engaged your school’s teachers on how they can utilize these resources in their classroom, or made a successful case for funding. No idea or accomplishment is too small!
You can submit your tiny case study idea by email at wsdlc-info@wils.org or complete the idea form, and we will reach out to you with the next steps!
