Flipped Classroom Training: Getting Started Begins Tomorrow! (Now With More Content and a New Look)

September 1st begins our Flipped Classroom Training Series, which has seen a little content/layout update since our last message! Send Us Your Tiny Case Study Ideas!

To compliment our Flipped Classrooms, we love to share things our members have been doing with their WSDLC membership! And one of our favorite ways to share these achievements is through Tiny Case Studies. WSDLC’s Tiny Case Studies are brief, practical summaries of outstanding things that some WSDLC members are doing and serve as an opportunity to share a WSDLC-related problem they had and how they solved it.

We highlight these Tiny Case Studies during various Flipped Classroom months, but you can also view them all by clicking this link, or copy/pasting it into your browser: https://wsdlc.org/training/tiny-case-studies/

If you’ve done something lately that you’d like to share with the WSDLC Community, let us know! (We promise, no idea or accomplishment is too small!) You can tell us either by email at wsdlc-info@wils.org, or complete the idea form, and we will reach out to you with next steps!

Registration for WEMTA’s Battle of the Books Opens Tomorrow (September 1st)

WEMTA’s Battle of the Books is an online trivia competition for K-12 students across the state. Students form teams of 2-4 people, and between them read from a list of 20 books. Teams can register to participate from September 1st through January 15th, with the Battle scheduled for the last full week in February.

To help support students as they participate in WEMTA’s Battle of the Books, WSDLC Project Managers have purchased additional ebook and audiobook copies of the titles on each reading list.
