Good Morning,
We are pleased to welcome 3 new members to the WSDLC Board:
- Sarah Wendorf from Waunakee Community School District representing CESA 2
- Emily Zorea from Ithaca School District representing CESA 3
- Stephanie Judge from Sauk Prairie School District representing CESA 5
Each representative will serve a 3 yr term. The full list of WSDLC Board members can be found here.
Thank you to everyone who participated in casting their votes in the Board Election. We appreciate you!
A question we receive occasionally concerns getting “locked out” of their Sora account after checking out too many titles in a given period of time.
Q: My student is receiving a message saying they have checked out too many titles and is unable to check out any more titles.
A: This error message is displayed once a student has checked out and returned an excessive number of titles within a 7-day period. This cap is used to prevent too many checkouts and returns as doing this can use up valuable Metered Access title licenses. If the student waits a few days, they will be able to check out additional titles.
We encourage users to first view the sample before officially borrowing a title to gauge interest. You can get a sample by selecting Read sample or Listen to sample next to the book. If the title is needed by the student immediately, please contact your Product Support Specialist, Amanda Izuka Lawman at aizuka-lawman@overdrive.com and provide the student’s user ID.
A reminder to check out the WSDLC website at https://wsdlc.org/ to find a wealth of answers in the FAQ.
Thank you!
